This is the protocol used to receive email, you will need to specify a POP3 server within your email client to receive mail, this will normally be mail.yourdomain.ext but you can check this within the users CP under Mail Info/Mail Manager

This is the protocol used to send out email, you will need to specify an SMTP server within your email client to send out mail, this will normally be mail.yourdomain.ext but you can check this within the users CP under Mail Info/Mail Manager
